It’s just so easy to get disappointed by people isn’t it?
The reality is people are self-centered and selfish – now that’s a really uncomfortable comment to make but it’s pretty true if you think about it
Okay yes the meet the people who are not either of those things but you‘ve got to admit they are the except to the rule that’s why they stand out
Now let’s analyse that – most people don’t mean to be selfish or self-cantered, many don’t even realise it and much of it is built into our DNA its how we are wired if you will – its part of self-preservation
How many times have you helped someone out but when it comes to returning the favour “oh no”. I had it happen to me no end of times people who have worked for me, you help them out, tricky relationship, marriage breakdown, been evicted etc. etc. – time off work, a listening ear etc. but then when the boots on the other foot and you need their loyalty and hard work somehow its sadly lacking.
But the question here is who the loser here is
In my book I’m the winner all the way hands down – I’ve done my bit, I’ve been the good Samaritan and done what I can for them
But my friends it’s vital that not only you recognise that fact but also move on and do it all over again
Becoming bitter, hard and twisted only eats away at one person and that’s you
I’ve seen it so many times
Instead I end up being the bigger person – I know what I’ve done and I can hold my head up high
Take responsibility for your own life don’t subject yourself to the powers & shortcomings of others the only loser will be you!!
Need some help or guidence ? just ask if I can help I will!!!
cheers
Tony
