Discover How Article Marketing Builds Your Back links

Hi there, today I want to cover ‘back links’, what they are, why you need them and how you can use article marketing to get them, yep I know you might think that some of this detail is pretty boring but believe me in the Internet marketing game areas like ‘back links’ are absolutely key to your long-term, sustainable success, so grit your teeth and read on …..Why Do I need Back links ?

Any website owner who knows his onions would agree that the best way to increase page ranking on the Internet is to have back links pointing to your website. Back links are links of your website in other sites referring back to your site. The search engines use it to measure website authority. The more back links you have pointing to your site, the higher you are ranked by search engines and vice versa. Better still, if these websites are authority sites with high page rank, your credibility with the search engines increases massively.

How Does Article marketing Help ?

Article marketing has proven to be not only a cheap way but also a sustainable way to get these back links. Article marketing as you know already is writing articles that are search engine friendly and submitting to article directories. What the article directories in turn do is to syndicate the articles. When an article is popular, it quickly spreads all over the Internet because it becomes cited or posted on different websites. Each site where your content is displayed opens several other sites and those in turn brings more exposure and therefore has a viral marketing effect – exactly what you want.

Aim for some of the websites you get back links from to be high authority sites which will boost your page ranking. Getting back links from these authority sites would have proved very difficult if you had simply contacted the site directly to place a link on their page. So that is why article marketing is indeed a cheap and easy way to acquire back links.

This brings us to the absolute need and requirement to have articles that are of high quality, unique content and preferably answer questions visitors are searching for answers to. Think about it this way before you whack out a so-so or average article, Top notch articles are replicated and syndicated all over the web but guess what inferior and poorly written articles might not even get accepted by some article directories whilst those that do probably don’t get the traffic but also don’t get downloaded by other websites or blogs. As no website wants to acquire content that will degrade or have little value to their site.

DIY or Automatic?

To make your article campaign a success, you have to plan your article submission very carefully. There are two types of submission methods: manual and automatic.

Manual submission is when you log in to each directory and submit your article one after the other. It is a direct approach and is rated to be the most effective but the disadvantage of this method is that it is quite slow.

Automatic submission uses software that submits to many directories at the same time. Although this option seems to be a quicker way of spreading your articles through the web, it does have some negative points. For instance some of the directories your articles are submitted to have little or no reputation, are not ranked particularly well and could disappear from the net anytime, however that’s a risk you take. Another negative is that automatic submission does not provide room for an article to be re-submitted if rejected for any reason.

Now I’m not saying don’t submit automatically but do choose the article submitting software carefully, check out what other Internet marketers are doing and using, visit some of the more popular forum. Just have your’ head up & eyes wide open’ kind of approach.

I we submit manually, always Ezine articles first (its considered the best) followed by 3 more, Go articles, Article dashboard and Article base – hey but that’s just our way -we find it works though.

Articles you submit does not guarantee an automatic inclusion in web directories whether submitted manually or automatically. It takes time to receive approval. For example, the top article directory patronized by Internet marketers is Ezinearticles. Ezine articles review articles for about a space of 7 days if you are on basic author status. You have to graduate to a platinum level (which I am & it takes 48 working hours) before you enjoy speedy reviews for article acceptance. Once your article has been approved by Ezinearticles, it is published and you gradually gain back links from websites who love to acquire content from top article directories.

Cheers

Tony
