Strange headline yes I know but listen up – I guess you’ll all champing at the bit to know what the “Most Important Element of Successful Internet Marketing” might be……..
Well I’ll get to that pretty soon, but before I do I want to just get your mind focusing on something that will have an impact on what I’m going to reveal.
Consider this scenario
You know how sometimes you’ll walk into a room at a party or in a bar and there’s always someone who has a crowd around him or her, now I don’t mean because that person is particularly attractive, rich or anything like that – I mean there appears to be a natural charisma about them. They appear universally liked, comfortable and ‘at home’ with virtually everyone. You’ll immediately trust that person and once you get to know them that trust element will become stronger and stronger.
Now is that a unique quality?
Is it only a handful of people who possess that? Now we all know the answer is no, sure some people are more outgoing and gregarious than others however we all possess our own unique personality, style and ability to engage others – these skills are undoubtedly the most powerful and useful attributes we as human beings possess and unlike our looks they develop and grow with age.
So are we all agreed, our personality and life experiences are attributes that we ALL possess? Good we can now move on and I’ll reveal all……

Building Your List
Blimey I hear some of you thing, “was that worth waiting for” – well bear with me and I’ll explain. Many of you will have already been to IM seminars & workshops or researched online & will have heard the phrase “The money’s in the list”.
What the guru’s mean by this is that once you have a customer on your list, you can promote to them, sell product and hopefully continue to sell them more products over time. Therefore the list becomes a way of generating on going and repeat business. Wow that’s why this is so very important.
Ok got that? Good. Right so how do you build a list?
Answer – you do all the things we covered a few days ago – continued and sustained activity on your blog, posting articles, being active on forums etc. But here’s the clever bit you do all of this whilst using your ‘personal attributes’
Building Trust
Make sure you bring your personality, your uniqueness as a human being out in your writing, tell stories, communicate directly with your readers – let them know who and what you are, your loves, hates, your experiences and most importantly the knowledge that by truly feeling like they ‘know you’ – TRUST.
That one word sums it all up, people buy people first then they buy the product.
