Hi There
Now there are loads of different platforms from which to chose for your blog or website, for me I use WordPress and this is why
What I love about WordPress
1} it’s almost totally Idiot Proof
That’s what started me out using it – it’s virtually impossible to break
And by following simple guidelines and a bit of trail & error – you’re there
2} it’s cheap or even free
I’ve used a number of “Lite versions” – Free to you and me and they have worked very well
So much so I’ve not bothered to upgrade to Pro versions
Not felt the need
3} Inputting content is easy
Scheduling is a piece of cake as well so you can efficiently use you time better
Write a load of posts then drip feed them over time
4}Plugins – what a great concept – whatever you want to do there’s a plugin for it
Word of warning here though don’t fully load your site up with masses of plugins that you then end up not using – it will confuse you and potentially slow your site.
5} functionality
WordPress has loads of great functions like blogging, commenting, dropdown menus and email harvesting. And there are so many quality (and free!) plug-ins for WordPress that you’d struggle to come up with any functionality you can’t quickly and easily add to a WordPress site
6} Let’s face it SEO is something we all need to worry about but with WordPress less so, most of the themes are SEO friendly and with plugins galore to aid your SEO activity – it makes life a lot easier.
7} keeping up to date – it tells you when you need to update how cool is that
8} community
The WordPress community is very active and makes getting the answer to your issues stress free.
