Traffic Takes Time & Patience !!

Certainly we’ve found it takes 2-3 months to really start to get traffic, but keep pushing, certainly after 3 months our blogposts were getting indexed by Google a lot faster, makes you feel you’re actually getter there.

Ok I know I mentioned I’d tell you about a little secret I use for targeting key traffic to my niches whilst also increasing traffic generally to my site. so here goes ….

And the secret is ‘Long tail keywords’

Now many of you will already know what a long tail keyword is, however for those who don’t, these are the kind of phrases and/or small sentences people type in to find information they are searching for, so it could be “how do I stop smoking” as an example.

So if people are searching for that in my niche then I should target it. But how to find them ? Well that’s pretty simple really, lets take a look at a niche I’m already in – ok hold your breath, its not glamorous, it’s snoring – yep told you not glamorous I know but you’d be amazed how many people suffer (including me I have to admit).

So here goes, go to Google and type in snoring (over 4 million results by the way) but then just scroll down and see some of the long tail phrases, here’s just a few

What can I do to stop snoring?

Stop snoring treatment

The causes of snoring

Stop snoring aid

Natural snoring remedies

Snoring problem cure

So for me the best one is: What can I do to stop snoring – so I then go back to Google and type that in, and get things like:

How to stop snoring,

7 easy snoring remedies,

stop snoring tips,

how do I stop snoring,

 I snore a lot, what can I do to stop snoring?,

want to stop snoring,

 how to prevent snoring, how to stop snoring when your sleeping

So from this I know this is what people are searching for, so do you reckon if I use some of them in my blogposts, in my articles I’m likely to get ranked quickly – yes of course.

Do you think then I could get on the front page of Google for some snoring phrases – yes I can

And do you think that my traffic is going to be pretty targeted – yes it is.

So Do I hopefully increase my chances of selling my ‘stop snoring’ book and audio – absolutely

 As Always it’s the little things that make a difference

So there it is, its not the answer to everything but it’s just a little tip that has worked for me and I thought had value so I’ve passed it on – use it and see what comes. If you take it one step further there are some long tail keywords that because of the traffic numbers you could rank very highly and quickly – ok not big numbers but laser targeted – if you’re a snorer and you want to help you’ll search for the information – it’s a no brainer
