A Job For Life – R.I.P.

Hi there

I always remember my step Dad saying get a safe job –think about a bank, building society etc. – bearing in mind he was an accountant – so it’s hardly surprising.

Did I take his advice – nope I went into publishing, books first then magazines and newspapers – was it safe – depends how you look at it – I’ve been involved with the same outfit in various forms for 40 years so not bad, but blimey I’ve worked bloody hard.

But I’m one of the lucky ones – we all know loads of people who’ve been made redundant/hit hard times and I reckon there will be more to come. We live in uncertain times

Certainly that one reason so many are looking towards creating a living online – but as we all know it’s not quite that simple – especially if you’ve been used to a 9 to 5 job.

That why you need to

1} get committed and

2} start out working in your spare time to get going

– don’t think you’ll be an internet sensation overnight – that’s just silly – get real

Top Tip

Get started and get one thing working and working well

For me I have 2 –

1} my membership site  Steps to Dot Com Success

and

2} this my blog – but really they are interlinked because although the tools available on my membership site help me to drive traffic to it and my blog but my blog gives me a voice and helps me drive traffic to my membership site as well – so it’s the virtuous circle

Get started and do it with a blog guys – its the most important place to start – create your online real estate now

What you’ll find on this blog is loads of useful information  to help your digital marketing life , but lest be honest unless you take some of the advice use the tools that we all have _ google, YouTube etc. to get on then you won’t get anywhere

Cheers
