The more you get into this marketplace and the more you discover about the big players is – they are just like the rest of us, there’s no magic wand or spell – just get on and do it!!!
Again the interesting thing with many of these gurus (God I hate that word) there’s a common trait with many of them
Many have scrapped and clawed their way up – and good luck to them, perhaps that’s my problem – I’ve never been destitute, living on the streets, been abused – but we are all conditioned to a degree by our up bring
I my dad died very suddenly when I was 10, plus he’d been out of work for quite a while. My mum did farmer’s accounts from home, home being a rented farmhouse (from one of her clients)
Blimey all there was left were debts, my mum & I had very little money But she made sure for me it was the happiest childhood that she could whilst she worked till the early hours existing on black coffee (could afford milk) and cigarettes to make ends meet.
But I tell you what it left me with the drive and determination to succeed… now I’ve never been really well off or RICH, and there’s times when I’ve been “strapped for cash” – had to rely on credit cards or help from my dear old mum (who sadly passed away 2 years ago at 96!!)
The black coffee and cigarettes didn’t do her too much harm then!!
I’ve had businesses, I’ve tried numerous opportunities many of which have cost me money and not worked – but a chunk of that is my fault – I gave up too soon? My mind-set was wrong, I just didn’t work hard or smart enough – but here I am hurtling towards retirement age but I’m still going and one of the greatest assets you can have is someone standing by your side supporting you in my case my dear wife
My wife she’s really not into it but she understands
What do you mean well she’s attended various seminars with me, listened to all the smoke and mirrors but it’s really not her, so the last time I went off alone – but that’s cool she knows it’s something I need to do and she supports me. She understands my passion for it and is content for me – that’s rare and a real gift
No come on I’m not saying that a nice red Porsche parked in the drive would not help – but you know what I mean – till next time ……………………
