Hi There
If you’re going to develop your own information products then first off you need to “niche it down” and much of this is not only finding something tnhat you’re passioniate about but also that can be commercially viable – otherwsie you spend loads of time creating something that either no one wants or is alrerady massively catered for on the net and elsewhere.
If you’re anything like me I initially found it quite tricky, after all neither of us are huge sporty kind of people and to be honest we’re not heavily into hobbies – just really don’t seem to find too much spare time what with the family and working.
Then you get to thinking ‘Oh we must be boring – no interests & hobbies’. But then you dig a bit deeper and suddenly ideas start to come to you – like my wife Rosemary enjoys knitting in an evening (relaxing!) and she’s pretty good at it – so suddenly there’s a starting point for doing further research to see what opportunities a niche like this might offer.
Anyway hopefully by now you’ ve great list of hot niches that you feel could support some kind of information product, and you’re just itching to go out and write that ‘How to’ masterpiece.
Reel yourself in and sit tight because there’s nothing worse than dashing off, spending hours and hours crafting that masterpiece to suddenly find you’ve ignored the basics.
Discover the Three Ps
Sounds pretty odd I know but bear with me, they stand for:
-
Passion – 2. Profit – 3. Potential
So now we need to determine whether your hot niches tick enough boxes to devote proper creative time to, let me explain.
Passion
Are you passionate about any of the niches you have unearthed?
If you can answer yes – all well and good, it’s always easier to work in a market that you have an interest in, knowledge of because you’re obviously half way there.
If you answer no – well it’s not the end of the world.
But you need to watch out for my email in five days time that will give you the Inside Information how to create a product ‘Hands Free’ with little or no knowledge of the market. Don’t forget!!
Profit
There’s no point creating a product to sell if all the info in that market is easily available for Free. This is a STAND OUT fact – DON’T IGNORE IT
See what else is being sold online, for how much and what’s the quality? Are the problems people are searching for solutions to being addressed fully? There’s no point trying to sell a product at $50 in a market where your competitors are offering up good quality information for free of $20 a pop. Golden rule there needs to be worthwhile profits to be made, otherwise walk away
I Hope these tips will help you moving forward
regards
Tony
