It’s Not All About Being Online You Know!

Hi There everyone

Just posting informative blog posts can be a bit boring and sterile so I thought I’d do a series on my own story, who I am , what I’ve done and where I’m hoping to go

About me – who am I?

To be frank you don’t really need to know much about me  however here goes just to give you an idea, I’m hurtling towards retirement, live here in the UK with my wife and 2 adult children, my daughter works for an app in London and my son is finishing university in Brighton and being in a band wants to take up a career in the music business!

My day job has been in advertising and publishing but my weekend job is property, I just love bricks & mortar, my wife and I have a property portfolio and we have property inventory management business as well.

But the online stuff well that’s me

Not only does it fascinate me but it affects our daily lives so much. Publishing and advertising has been revolutionised, my daughter works for an app, my son creates & edits music online, my wife uses software to construct her property reports

Developing a business on line can be frustrating, I’ve tried it several times and I’m sorry to say I’ve given up, life’s got in the way etc. and then I’ve gone to seminar, bought another shiny thing in a box and failed again.

This time is different – my mind-set is in the right place, I’m committed to devoting time and effort, my focus on a plan is set in daily stone!

I love going on holiday, visiting different places and cultures around the world – and one of my main aims is to get to do move of that when i get to time and money freedom.

Above are photos of me in Prague last year and Mexico earlier this year. love Mexico – the people, the culture, the food and I have to admit to a liking for the tequilla as well!!!

So join me on my Internet learning journey – I’m loving it but sometimes it’s hard to stay”on Track” – but so far so good.

Here’s a thing – starting to run some Facebook ads – set it all up, wrote the copy and then waited for the email acceptance.

When it came it wasn’t what I wanted – ads did not comply, against their advertising policies

Wow did I feel deflated – all that work and for nothing. Anyway I thought I’ll re-write then when I was half way through i thought to myself “hang on i don’t agree with why they have disallowed them – I’ll appeal”. Which I did and then sure enough |i got approval. Shows you’ve got to keep going.

till next time

Tony
