My Top 6 Tips to Getting ‘Quality’ Back Links

Hi in this post I just want to cover why back links are just so important to your internet marketing activities and possibly offer up some methods as to how to get them & why you should, b because I’m telling you now without them you’ll find your online activates will take a huge amount of time to get anywhere – so please listen up.

What Are back links?

One-way links are back links. But the unique thing about one-way links is that they do not return a link to the website linking to them, in other words they are not reciprocal. One-way link convey a message to the search engines that the website is so interesting or useful that the other websites had to or felt the need to tell people all about it. So now you can see why One way links are the preferred back link for any website owner.

How Do I get one-way links?

Ok now this can sometimes take a bit of time to get a worthwhile number of back links but its certainly time well spent so do put the effort in, it really comes down to whether others think your site is populated with information and content that is worthy to be referenced elsewhere.

A website will naturally link to another that has content that will consolidate its own site standing.  Here are just a few ways you can grow your website’s status so that others feel your website is good enough to acquire a one way link  Here we go

1. Submitting your site to the major online search engine directories such as Yahoo! And Dmoz.org. When you have your link in these websites, your site value will automatically increase and also its perception will grow as well..

2. Submit articles to articles directories. There are so many article directories you can submit your article to and provide in your resource box  back links to your website. You can be sure that if your articles contains quality content visitors searching for information will tell their friends, socialize it etc and most importantly other website owners wanting free content for their own site will by using your material link back to you.

Naturally the advantage of submitting articles is that the directories are a rich vein for other website owners to gather content for their own sites and then when they do your resource box with your links in it will be published on other sites – suddenly you have back links

3. Another way to get one-way link is to search for industry specific search directories and submit websites to them. There are search directories that are tailored for specific industries e.g. Travel etc.  Getting listed on these directories may be free in some instances others will be paid for and you’ll have to decide whether it’s worth the investment or not. Try a couple and monitor the return.

4. Create e-books and short reports. When you create e-books and short reports, these can be given away free on the Internet through your website, on newsletters, forums etc. If the e-book has high quality information within it (e.g. Quick traffic tips), you can attract a lot of one-way links. To achieve that objective, you should include your website on the pages of the e-book or report and also inbed links in the text as well..

5.Use videos. Video is a great way to get one-way links to your site. A good video will move around very fast over the Internet. Website owners are known to take an already created video and embed it in their own site to add content. Believe me video has the ability to “go viral” very quickly

6. If your website has great quality content and you are confident that it will appeal to other website owners in a similar niche as yours, you can approach them and ask to have your link included in their site. However, in most cases they will want a reciprocal link. And this you may not want to do after all you have to end up monitoring whether they actually do it and what’s the value to you. – tricky one.

Also bear in mind Search engines like Google frown on sites with too many reciprocal links. Therefore, although back links are good, if the basis of the link is always reciprocal, it might not achieve the desired purpose. Hope this very brief introduction to back linking has been helpful, it’s just another method that over time will increase your traffic and build your site into a key player in whatever niche in which you are operating

Cheers

Tony
